Types of Storm Damage

Storms can be the cause of violent weather and excesive damage that can wreak havoc on buildings and manicured vegetation. Wind damage is a hazard to the protective structures of a building. For example, it can cause long-term damage that is not immediately noticeable by loosening the shingles or tiles on the roof. Over time, this small weakness in the protective surface can allow moisture such as rain to infiltrate into the interior of the roof, which will result in wood swelling and weakening. Later on that process may continue with the wood disintegrating or becoming moldy.

Afterwards, this problem becomes more pronounced by a sagging ceiling, discoloration in the walls and ceilings and other issues. Air and ]water elements such as wind, rain, and hail, can create a lot of damage and sometimes result in your daily life being turned upside down. The All Pro storm damage restoration service is here to help during this type of emergency.

Storm Damage Repair Process

Our first step is arguably the most important step, which is why it is free. It is during this time that fully investigate the extent of the damage to your commercial or residential property. It is absolutely vital that this step is done correctly. It is the basis of the repair plan and the cost to repair.

Some elements that may be examined during the inspection:

  • Obviously Damaged Areas (Interior & Exterior)
  • Systems Related to Damaged Areas
  • Systems Moving Through the Damaged Areas
  • Load-bearing Structural Members in Damaged Areas
  • Evidence of Seepage or Run-off May Have Continued from Damaged Area

Once All Pro understands the extent and etirety of the project, our Licensed Contractor puts together a plan to completely resolve the issue. Our consdierations include: start date, duration, materials, labor, subcontractors, interior, exterior, structural, cosmetic, cleanup and more.

Water Damage Restoration

If your building is in need of water damage restoration, it is absolutely vital that you begin the process immediately. Water damage can cause structural damage to the building and health-related issues to people who live or work in it, if left untreated.

At All Pro we understand the stress and confusion that these issues cause. That is why we get to work immediately to resolve your issues and guide you through the entire repair process.

Causes of Water Damage

Water damage in any building can come from a myriad of sources ranging from broken appliance hoses to natural disasters. Listed below are a few common causes of water damage to structures in Florida:

  • Flooding & Storms
  • Toiltes, Tubs, & Sinks
  • Plumbing & Water Heaters
  • Appliances
  • Hurricanes & Tropical Storms

Water Damage Restoration Process

It is our experience that each restoration project is unique. The factors in each project vary based on when the damage occured, how long it's been sitting, and how much area it affected. Once we begin, we will layout a detailed plan so you can know exactly what to expect.

Your plan will follow this basic process:

Upon arrival we will inspect the home and evaluate the damage using observation and specialized equipment to ensure that no pockets of moisture remain unnoticed. Each inspection is done to the Institution of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) dry standards.

During this phase a plan will be put in place to complete the project and an estimate will be provided.

The longer things sit in water the worse the problem gets. The first thing that needs to be done is to get items standing in water out of the water so that no more is soaked in.

The faster items are removed from standing water the faster they begin their drying process.

This is one of the most important steps for home with large issues. It is absolutely vital to get all standing water up as quickly as possible so that it doesn't continue to create issues throughout the affected area.

This step is performed with the use of vaccuums and pumps, if necessary.

Depending on the factors listed previously, the time to complete this step can vary greatly. Extra steps can be performed during this process if damage is severe or water saturation extensive.

This step is performed with dehumidifiers and fans, primarily. This is because the most important part of getting an area completely dry is to have dry air circulating in the affected areas.

Once the area is completely dry, All Pro will begin restoring all damaged framing, drywall, flooring, or an other part of your commercial or residential building that require it.
